Everybody needs FRIENDS, that includes the library. Formed with the common goal of supporting the Emmett Public Library, this group of literary volunteers are extraordinary. We owe the Friends of the library a BIG THANK YOU. They are also sponsoring the new, very popular “FRIENDS BOOK CLUB” a book discussion group being held the 2nd Tuesday of each month @ the library. This month Amythest Heart by Penelope Stokes is being read and next month will be 1,000 pieces of Gold by Ruthanne Lum McCunn. The Friends of the Library are also gearing up for their annual “TOUR OF HOMES”. Great things are going on @ the library!
Just a few of the new books added to our collection include: Promise Me Forever by Debbie MaComber, Drop Shot by Harlan Coben, Laced by Carol Higgins Clark, House Calls & Hitching Post by Elton Lehman, Hound Health Handbook by Betsy Brevitz, The Asthma & Allergy Action Plan for Kids by Dozer. New movies include; The Bee Movie, Enchanted, Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium, and sets of Incredible Mysteries and Animal Kingdon with Lorne Greene and many, many, many more.
Remember the library and the community treasure that it is. Remember the Friends of the Library and the contributions of books and materials to aid in developing the library collection, they give. I encourage all Emmett citizens to use the services the library. Stop by the library to check out our new books and get information to join the friends.
